Never in our wildest dreams did we ever think that expressing our admiration for a particular TV show and for a particular actor would bind us and bring us together for creating something like this… A blog for keeps .
The TV show that brought us together was none other than Na bole tum na maine kuch kaha…. and the actor in question Kunal Karan Kapoor. Every thing including the TV show was a serendipitous event. This show came into our lives quite accidentally when most of us had given up on melodramtic saas bahu Hindi soaps. Refreshing and realistic, there was something very endearing and mystical about this show. To this date most of us are wondering what is it about the show that made such a deep impact in our lives and generated so much passion, that brought total strangers to share their joys and disappointments on a common forum. The frenzy built up with Kunal Karan Kapoor bagging ITA award 2013 brought half of this gang together and peaked during his Birthday with the completion of the crazy dozen.
These shared opportunities coupled with the enthusiasm dared us to expand our horizons with Lekz having a vision, a dream which was put into reality by the fierce rallying by youngsters of the group viz., Ashlesha, Bidushi and Sidhi. The fact that some were in different continents did not deter them in thinking, planning and working together. Dhara, took charge of putting the dream into reality by designing the blog with panache. The enterprising and go-getter Nita took charge of rolling the blog into action. The blog finally took shape with critical and constructive suggestions from Sharmila, constant mentoring from Vinita and Mythili, confidence and support from the soft spoken Spandana, lively Madhu and enthusiastic Richa.
Thus happenstance happened with a crazy dozen of total strangers who had nothing in common, except the passion for a show on small screen. Neither the fact that we belonged to different professions, students to homemakers to teachers, lawyers, scientists and software professionals nor that we spanned 19-56 years deterred our enthusiasm. In fact the group couldn’t have been more creative and vibrant. We hope to continue the spunk through lot of interesting incidents, tete-a-te with stars, reviews of shows, voice of fans etc…..

Its great to keep on learning and find new beginnings …so a mixed group from college going young girls to 50 plus and still young girls makes for excellent synergy ! keep rocking

I hope your fifties mean going back to school or starting yoga. I hope your forties include falling in love with someone new – a friend, child, or partner. I hope you stay up all night laughing with your friends. And when you’re thirty, learn something new. I hope your life is one of wisdom and youth, adventure and old age – no matter what year it was that you were born. What I really mean to say is that I hope you aren’t held back because of a number. And that you don’t rush into things because it feels like time is slipping by. I hope you do what’s right for you. Hold on. Slow down. And breathe in. Your age is your age. But more importantly, your life is your life. Don’t change your journey so that it matches someone else’s. We need to walk different paths so the whole world can be explored. Revel in the differences. And enjoy where you are. 🙂
